Reflections
: peace As I prayed
along with the narrator, there was an indescribable sense
of warmth and peace filling my heart. The emptiness that
had been unfilled with all the distractions I sought in
efforts to mask the pain in my life was gone! God suddenly
had become very real to me! I could feel His presence as
if He had His arms wrapped around me in a loving embrace.
I opened my eyes and through the tears, everything seemed
brand new. Joy had taken the place of sadness and I wanted
to run all over the neighborhood telling people that Jesus
is the answer! Not a good idea considering that it was already
after 11pm! They'd probably have had me arrested.
But I had to tell someone, so I called my friend who
had invited me to the dinner. He was so pleased to hear
that I had found what he had prayed I would find. Peace
with God through Jesus Christ and a hope that will last
forever!
Friend, this is available for you, too.
Enduring peace. Joy that never ends! Worries that had plagued
me about the future had vanished. Confidence took their
place. I was sure that God loves me, and He wants me to
be safe with Him in a place where the storms and turmoil
of a world that is falling apart can't harm me. He wants
to give you that same strong place where you can take refuge.
Jesus is willing to meet you where you are and give
you a secure future with Him!
As Jesus has changed
many lives during the past 2000 years, He can change yours,
too. There are many people who have experienced His
power
to change lives, He's changed mine! There are many lives
that have been changed through Jesus!
Here you have
heard my story and the whole point of this place on the
web. I didn't know in November 1997 that it would be the
time for Him to make a difference in my life. I was looking
for friendship and in the process, Jesus found me. It is
not to say that this makes me better than you or that I
am sadly misguided. Rather, it is to say what's been said
for centuries:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but
have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the
world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
him. (John 3:16-17)
